Difference Between Email-to-Case and On-Demand Email-to-Case

As we already discussed On-Demand Email-to-Case and Email-to-Case using Email Services in our previous blogs.

So, Let's quickly go through the major difference between Email-to-Case and On-Demand Email-to-Case.

Email-to-Case On-Demand Email-to-Case
Email-to-Case requires an agent to be installed onto a local machine. On-Demand Email-to-Case doesn't require an agent to be installed. It automatically converts emails to cases.
It accepts emails larger than 25MB. It refuses emails larger than 25MB. Prior to the Winter'21 release, All emails are accepted up to 35 MB.
It keeps email traffic inside your network's firewall. It doesn't keep email traffic within your firewall.
No attachment size limit is required when using the agent. Prior to the Winter'21 release, the size of the attachment can be maximum up to 25MB.
Once enabled Email-to-Case cannot be disabled. You can disable the On-Demand service at any time.
